Cody Horn

Cody Horn
Friday, August, 10, 2012 You can imagine it would be difficult for a female lead to really stand out amongst a gorgeous, testosterone-filled cast, but for our August Girl of the Month Cody Horn, this is simply not the case. The breakout star shined in Magic Mike, and we suspect her performance in the September thriller End of Watch will be just as memorable. But in addition to her acting abilities, we'd like to discuss the fact that Horn has also been killing it on the fashion front lately. Stepping onto the red carpet in an exciting assortment of ensembles, including the perfect red leather dress and an embellished jumpsuit, her sartorial choices continue to be irrefutably chic and noteworthy one hundred percent of the time. So in honor of Horn's top-notch taste, we've rounded up an assortment of desirable fashion and beauty items to help you get her look!

On the Red Carpet
One of the things we noticed right away about Horn is that she tends to favor anything with clean lines and a sleek silhouette. The Marios Schwab dress she wore at the Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles two months ago (top, right) is a perfect example, and we love how the leather bodice and shoulder cutouts give the overall look some edge. We saw a similar effect at the ESPY awards in Los Angeles last month (bottom, left); Horn's Cushnie Et Ochs zipper-front, keyhole dress exudes a sophisticated sex appeal befitting the actress. Clearly we don't have a girly girl on our hands, but that's not to say Horn doesn't appreciate a feminine accent or two on occasion. Her boudoir-inspired look, which consisted of a Jean Paul Gaultier blazer, corset, and lace shorts, at the Los Angeles premiere of Magic Mike back in June (bottom, right) was quite intriguing and made for an unexpectedly chic red carpet look. We also must commend Horn's outfit at the Max Mara Women in Film cocktail party (center), as her Max Mara Triacetate Jumper ($1650, available at select Max Mara boutiques) hits on the recent embellished trend!

Get Her Look
Zara Embellished Tank ($70, 323.935.5041)
Not only is the embellished neckline on this Zara tank a nod to one of fall's biggest trends, it also reminds us of the jewel-adorned detailing on Horn's Max Mara jumpsuit! For those two reasons alone, not to mention the reasonable price tag, we think this top is truly covetable and would look amazing teamed with a pair of printed pants.

Kate Spade New York In The Loop Cuff ($78)
Given Horn's minimalist aesthetic, she is sure to appreciate the uncomplicated design of this Kate Spade New York cuff. The glossy resin and 12-karat gold trim lend the bauble a chic and luxurious look that is perfect for day-to-night wear.

A.L.C. Theodore Jumpsuit ($695)
Combining sophisticated tailoring with the sultry spirit of a deep-v neckline, this A.L.C. jumpsuit has Horn written all over it. While we imagine she'd wear this stylish one-piece to an upcoming red carpet premiere, it happens to be a fitting choice for a GNO too!

La Regale Glass Bead Box Clutch ($158)
The fact that we've spotted Horn sans bag on more than one occasion leads us to believe that her carrier of choice is probably petite and unquestionably unfussy. Accordingly, La Regale's bead-embellished box clutch seemed a fitting selection. It's elegant without being overly feminine-a quality Horn is sure to love-plus it comes with a removable chain strap, giving you the option to go hands-free on the dance floor!

BCBGeneration Crisscross Dress ($138)
Since winter whites are an essential trend for fall, you'll have plenty of time and occasions to wear this playful BCBGeneration number. Whether you dress it down for the weekend with neon sandals or add a few sparkly touches for an evening out, this frock, with a unique crisscross front and peek-a-boo cutout, is a true ode to Horn's signature style.

Philip B. Oud Royal Gravity Defying Gel ($28)
The secret to achieving Horn's slicked-back red carpet hair is simple: Philip B.'s Oud Royal Gravity Defying Gel. Thanks to a special blend of polymers and glycerine, the gel delivers an ultra-firm, long-lasting hold that leaves your locks feeling silky and soft, not crunchy or sticky.

Bebe Promise Lattice Sandals ($129) in Black
It didn't take long to see that our GOTM loves a strappy shoe, so including Bebe's new Promise Lattice Sandals in today's story was a no-brainer. Offset the heels' intricate design with a solid-colored shift dress or leather mini.

Topshop Gold Jacquard Mini Skirt ($80)
Horn's edgier sensibilities will likely be drawn to the lustrous metallic sheen and exposed gold zippers on this to-die-for jacquard mini from Topshop. Just be sure to style it with a slinky tank and strappy sandals to further channel our GOTM's effortlessly cool style.--Jessica Baker
