Our Jaws Dropped When We Saw Giovanna Battaglia's Wedding Dress

Adrianna Barrionuevo

It may only be June, but the wedding of the season is already on the books. International fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia tied the knot in Capri, Italy, this past weekend with real estate impresario Oscar Engelbert, and the over-the-top ceremony had fashion's elite in attendance and a wedding gown that will go down in fashion history. The fairy-tale wedding included attendees from socialites to fashion It girls—Derek Blasberg, Anna Dello Russo, Sabine Getty, and Lauren Santo Domingo were in attendance—along with designers Giambattista Valli, Adam Lippes, and Pete Dundas. But about that dress…

Giovanna donned a custom Sarah Burton–designed Alexander McQueen (à la Kate Middleton) gown with an embellished corset and an extravagant train for the cliffside nuptials. Leave it to an original street style star and stylist to kick off wedding season in high fashion. The dreamy wedding was made for Instagram where friends shared endless photos of the picturesque ceremony and the bride's lavish gown using the hashtag #gioandoscar. Naturally, we did a little digging and found snaps of pretty much every angle of her exquisite McQueen gown.

Check out the photos of Battaglia's stunning wedding gown below.
