Gigi Hadid Just Reinvented the Pashmina

Gigi Hadid just pulled a very Gigi Hadid move and wore something surprising in a completely unexpected way, with cool, trend-setting results. The directional model joined her sister Bella for a night out in Los Angeles earlier this week wearing something you probably haven't thought about in quite some time—a pashmina, just like you probably had in the early 2000s.

The difference in how Hadid wore it present-day? She gave it a very 2016 spin by employing a styling trick she's turned to on repeat occasions as of late—wearing her pale pink pashmina scarf similarly to the way she's been wearing her jackets: halfway off and hanging around her elbows. Hadid's nonchalant draping of the shawl gave a similar effortless feel to her look, without the bulkiness of a jacket.

To further update the accessory, she paired it with this season's It jeans (Frame's Le Mix), It top style (off-the-shoulder), It sandals (slides), and It necklace (a choker). We applaud Hadid's ability to make pretty much anything look cool and are anxiously awaiting our next Gigi pashmina sighting.
