Gigi Hadid Just Landed a Major TV Gig—Get the Full Scoop

Calling all Gigi Hadid fans: You might want to circle Sunday, November 20, on your calendar. It's the date that the supermodel will be hosting the American Music Awards on CBS. She'll be accompanied by co-host Jay Pharoah, who you might remember from his six-season run on SNL

"I'm so excited to host the 2016 AMAs with Jay Pharoah," Hadid said in a press release. "Jay is known for his spot-on impressions so I can't wait to take the stage with him to show my goofy side and celebrate this year's nominees!" So who can we expect to make appearances at the show? The Artist of the Year nominees include Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Drake, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and others.

Hadid already has a similar gig under her belt: She hosted the Much Music Video Awards in Canada back in June, but this is surely an even bigger step for the model. She might be more accustomed to dominating runways rather than stages, but something tells us she'll knock it out of the park.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
