Retrophile
Wednesday, December, 07, 2011 Today we're officially halfway through our annual Gift Guide, and to celebrate we've sourced some amazing presents for one of our favorite girls: the Retrophile! Inspired in part by the lovely Michelle Williams, this giftee is feminine without being fussy and definitely appreciates unique pieces, whether they're vintage or simply thoughtfully sourced. Presented in partnership with our friends at Coach, we've gathered an eclectic assortment of top-notch presents for the Retrophile, including a perfect pin, the cutest sweater ever, and some decidedly stylish sunglasses. Be sure to check them all out-these gifts might be just what you've been looking for, or ideal for someone on your shopping list!

Coach Cassie Sunglasses ($148) in Black
While wacky sunglasses might be beloved by some, that's not what our Retrophile craves. No, she has a hankering for vintage-inspired styles like these incredibly sleek shades by Coach. Generously proportioned and featuring a modern metal edge, these sunglasses are universally flattering and unquestionably fabulous, perfect for today's type of girl! And if you don't think she'd go for basic black, no worries, Coach makes them in a lovely tortoise hue too!

A Very She & Him Christmas Album ($15.98)
Appeal to the Retrophile's sentimental side with this cute collection of Christmas classics by Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, a.k.a. the indie-pop duo She & Him. Featuring beloved songs like "Silver Bells," "Baby, It's Cold Outside," and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," this album is definitely a crowd-pleaser and an ideal present to give now (Secret Santa, anyone?).

Honeydew Intimates Polka-Dot Bralette ($34) and Undies ($16)
Polka dots have a very wholesome reputation, which is why we were so delighted to see a slightly sexier iteration of the classic print on this Honeydew Intimates set! Cheeky, yet still modest, the bralette and undies are the perfect underpinnings for our Retrophile, and the price is right too!

3.1 Phillip Lim Fox Pin ($95) in Gold
When it comes to gifting others, we like to give little luxuries-treats that they'd love to splurge on, but can't quite justify-like this insanely cute pin from 3.1 Phillip Lim. Also available in black patent leather or in the shape of a bear, this pin will compliment the Retrophile's favorite blazers and add just a touch of whimsy and personality to any outfit.

Linda McCartney: Life In Photographs ($70)
If the Retrophile doesn't already have this stunning book, do her a favor and buy it immediately! Culled from McCartney's vast archives of over 200,000 photographs, the retrospective covers everything from her inaugural shoot-a promotional event for the Rolling Stones in 1966-to candid family photos. Produced by Paul McCartney and their children, the book is a coffee table must-have for all!

Vanessa Bruno Ethnic Mix Mini Bag ($278, 323.655.5310) in Multicolor
Today's girl likes trends, but she's not addicted to them, nor does she go for the flashiest pieces the season has to offer. She prefers items that are cool, but a bit under the radar, like this darling mini bag from Vanessa Bruno. The petite size and long strap speaks to the Retrophile's tastes, while the woven suede is totally timeless. Think she'd prefer a regular-sized bag to a small one? No worries: just check out the Ethnic Mix Bag ($577), which is exactly the same as the featured, but it's a bit larger!

Comme Des Garcons Play Nautical Sweater ($396)
A striped sweater is a go-to for all types of well-dressed women, but this unisex sweater is particularly perfect for the Retrophile. It boasts the brand's signature heart emblem-in red, nevertheless-a darling detail that's sure to make today's girl swoon!
