Amanda Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried's plunging black Balenciaga gown called for delicate hair and makeup at the London premiere of Les Miserables. The polished curls and simple, glowing makeup struck the perfect balance thanks to makeup artist Mary Greenwell and hairstylist Jon Chapman.Skin
Greenwell prepped Seyfried's skin with a rich moisturizer before layering on Cle De Peau's Perfect Refining Foundation ($120) in I10. She dabbed the brand's Concealer ($70) under the actress' eyes and set it with loose powder. Greenwell dusted Cle de Peau's Face Enhancer Luminizing Powder ($55) in Pastel on the actress' cheekbones and all over her décolletage, but you can try L'Oreal's True Match Naturale Luminizing Face Powder ($16) in Translucent Rose for a similar effect. For a light flush, Greenwell used Cle de Peau's Cheek Color Duo ($48) in 2--or try Laura Geller's Blush-N-Brighten ($31) in Sunswept--dusting all over the cheek area.

Eyes
Greenwell wanted Seyfried's eyes to be defined, yet soft, so she smudged black eyeliner around the actress' lashes and lined the inner rims of her eyes in a deep brown shade. Try Urban Decay's 24/7 Double-Ended Glide-On Eye Pencil ($12), which conveniently offers black on one end and brown on the other. Greenwell used Cle de Peau's Eye Color Quad ($55) in 202 on Seyfried's lids and the brand's Limited Edition Satin Eye Color ($45) in Silver Pearl on her brow bone. "Concentrate the eye color on the lid and outside corner, lifting the eye and making it a slight cat-eye," she says. Sephora + Pantone Universe's Alchemy of Color Eye Shadow ($17) offers similar colors in a single palette. "Load the lashes with black mascara to really open up the eyes," Greenwell says. Givenchy's Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara ($32) or Maybelline's Volum' Express Mega Plush Mascara ($6) will do the job.

Lips
Greenwell lined Seyfried's lips with Cle de Peau's Lip Colour Pencil ($25) in 102 followed by the brand's Enriched Lip Luminizer ($35) in 222. Tarte's Amazonian Clay Universal Lip Liner ($18) will work too, applied under Sephora Collection's Color Lip Last ($12) in Vintage Pink.

Hair
Chapman prepped Seyfried's wet hair with a mix of Philip Kingsley's Weatherproof Styling Froth ($20) and Aveda's Light Elements Smoothing Fluid ($27) for "structure and protection," before blowing it dry. Chapman wanted to create "glamorous, '40s-inspired curls," so he made a deep side part and curled one-inch sections of her hair with a one-inch iron. "Pin each section to the scalp and allow to cool," he says. After releasing the curls, he applied Kiehls' Creme with Silk Groom ($30) throughout her hair. Another light layer of hairspray finished the look, and the result is glamorous and glowing--a far cry from Cosette's pin curls and natural flush!
