Reorganise Your Accessories With These Useful Products

Aside from "florals for spring," there are few phrases as synonymous with the spring season as the phrase "spring cleaning." With the changing of the weather often comes the urge to sort, declutter and organise (or if you're as pedantic as I am, reorganise what is already pretty organised). As many of us will likely have more time at home than usual, there's no better opportunity to get a head start on spring cleaning and start thinking about sorting through your most-beloved belongings.

When it comes to accessories, it's common for rings, earrings and necklaces to be strewn about on dressing tables or bathroom benches, which can often result in misplacing said items. (I know I've lost an earring or two in my time.) With this in mind, we've put together a guide for the best ways to organise your shoes and accessories. From hanging necklace stands to ornate trinket dishes and storage boxes for your shoes, keep scrolling for the products you need to help sort out all your accessories.

A small trinket dish or lined jewellery box featuring ring holders is likely the best place to keep your favourite rings. A trinket dish will make sure all your rings are kept together—in the same place, at the same time—but are still visible and in reach for swift accessorising.

2. Necklaces

Necklaces are a little harder to store, as they tangle easily and can often become a knotted mess. Thankfully, several brands are helping to remedy this problem, creating tall necklace and bracelet stands which easily let you display your jewellery without the chance of tangling.

3. Shoes

In my small London apartment, shoe storage is one of the things I have the most trouble with. My collection doesn't fit in my tiny closet, nor do I want to leave shoes just lying around on the floor. My solution? Purchase a few big storage baskets to fill with shoes and store them under your bed. It will keep your room looking clear and doesn't take up any additional space. If under-bed storage isn't an option, IKEA also offers hanging shoe storage, which can be attached to the back of a door.
