From the colors that will be everywhere to the pant style that's a must-have, get ready to add to your shopping list (and maybe clean a few trends out of your closet to make room for the new).

SKIP: Millennium Pink

BUY: Lilac and Yellow

"Millennial Pink was the color of 2017. While it's still around, apparel arrivals in the hue are on a downward spiral. For those still wanting a touch of feminine, shades of lilac and violet have been backed by big players including Michael Kors and Victoria Beckham, while Pantone announced Ultra Violet as its color of the year. For a more bold and cheerful burst, yellow will also become a statement hue."

SKIP: Bomber Jackets

BUY: Technical Jackets

"After a strong few years, the bomber jacket has fallen from favor; 57% of garments in stock are currently discounted. That's more than other trans-seasonal options, such as denim and biker jackets. Instead, this year will be all about the technical jacket. Think rain jackets, enhanced fabrications, and functional detailing."

SKIP: Fancy Flares

BUY: Slouchy Wide-Leg Trousers

"Over-the-top flares and pants with extreme frilled hems have had their day—the bulk of those retailing now are highly discounted. In their place, the spring 2018 runways saw slouchy wide legs favored—fitting into the season's masculine look as well as channeling 2018’s must-have '90s vibe."
