Kendall and Hailey Wore the Classic Sweater Trend Everyone's Buying From J.Crew

Now that we're deep into December and have been wearing knitwear for at least a month now, it's become clear what the emerging sweater trends are. Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber certainly agree on one in particular. That trend is Fair Isle sweaters. Jenner wore the classic après-ski style earlier this week in Aspen, and Bieber wore it upon her return to Los Angeles. Both of them wore Fair Isle sweaters by Khaite, who can largely be credited (along with Celine) for the returning popularity of the style this season.

Multicolored Fair Isle knitwear actually dates back to the early 19th century on an island near Scotland, when it was made for fisherman's sweaters. Today, brands from low to high-end embrace the design each winter, but it's become especially ubiquitous this season. One place I've come across multiple excellent examples of the trend is J.Crew, where its Fair Isle sweaters keep selling out. (Trust me—I'm on J.Crew.com a lot.) Scroll on to shop those along with Jenner's and Bieber's Khaite crew-neck and cardigan.
