As tempting as it is to partake in a little April Fool’s Day fun, we can assure you today’s awesome fashion finds are no joke! For example, this month you'll be able to get your hands on the newest mascara from Yves Saint Laurent, freshen up your look with a pair of sunnies from the debut Rachel Comey x Prism collection, and add to your bag collection (or wish list) with the latest top-handle style from Prada. There are so many obsession-worthy fashion collaborations and new products launching over the next four weeks it’s hard to keep track of them all. Lucky for you, we’ve got all the important details in one place—today’s WWW Hearts story!
1. Hermes x Comme des Garcons Comme des Carres Collection ($500-$775)
Just when we thought Hermes scarves couldn’t get any more beautiful or covet-worthy, the storied brand created the Comme des Carres silk scarf collection. The collaboration between Hermes’ Universe Artistic Director Bali Barret and Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo resulted in two different collections: Colour and Black and White. Available exclusively at Dover Street Market stores in London and Tokyo, the former showcases spirited color and pattern combinations, while the latter updates classic Hermes prints with CDG’s signature black and white abstract images. Talk about wearable art!
2. RC x PRISM Collaboration Sunglasses ($357) in Pink
Now here is a collaboration after our sunglass-loving hearts! Rachel Comey has teamed up with eyewear favorite PRISM London to design two limited-edition sunglasses, available now. While we love the more classic matte black style, we’ve also got our eye on the pink camo frames, and you can bet we’ll be wearing them with all of our favorite sundresses come BBQ season.
3.The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You ($14) by Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba is a stylish, do-it-all mom, and we admire her ability to juggle play dates, a successful acting career, and a booming business (last year she launched The Honest Company, a brand dedicated to creating safe and reliable products for parents). In her new book, The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You, Alba offers personal tips and tricks for making smart, eco-friendly lifestyle choices in everything from your home décor to your beauty routine. We had the great pleasure of contributing to the book’s chapter on style, in which we talk about finding your signature look and how to invest in the right go-to pieces. Stay tuned for our exclusive Twitter Q&A with Alba on @whowhatwear today and a chance to win an autographed copy of her book!
4. Iggy Azalea
Like the rest of the fashion world, we have a bit of a girl crush on Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. This sentiment was most recently solidified by the release of the lead single, "Work," from her forthcoming debut studio album, The New Classic. If you're not one of the 3 million people who have seen the over-the-top accompanying video, which was inspired by the Australian cult film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, we highly recommend checking it out now. So what's next for the Wilhelmina-repped up-and-comer? She has a few East Coast shows scheduled, is playing the European music festival circuit, and will perform alongside some of music’s biggest stars, including Beyonce, John Legend, and Florence + the Machine, at a London benefit concert for the Gucci-founded organization Chime for Change on June 1st. Needless to say, Azalea is definitely on our one-to-watch list and you should keep an eye on her too.
5. Prada Saffiano Leather Bag ($1995, select Prada Boutiques) in Pineapple
Black bags may be a major trend this season, but that hasn’t stopped us from admiring a handful of brighter styles too. One of our favorites is Prada’s Saffiano Leather Bag in Pineapple. The new-for-spring hue is the perfect warm-weather update to the fashion house’s beloved tote, making it every bit as sweet as it is stylish. The sunny hue would be the perfect finishing touch for all your cheery summer ensembles.
6. Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll ($30)
The words "baby doll" first popped up at Yves Saint Laurent in 1999 when the French fashion house launched the Baby Doll Eau de Toilette ($41). Today, YSL is lending the name to the newest addition to its Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils collection. Cara Delevingne fronts the new formula's campaign, which promises defined, falsie-like lashes delivered via a thick elastomer brush and is now available in black, blue, brown, and violet.
