I'm going on a ski and snowboarding trip and am snow clueless. What are some key
Well hello, dear snow bunnies! A winter getaway to a snowy mountain is always wonderful, if you know what to bring. We'll assume you've already stuffed your suitcase with the basic gear (long underwear, snowboarding pants, the usual), so we'd like to remind-and inspire-you to pack some oft-forgotten accessories that will protect you from the elements and add a touch of style to the mountaintop. Must-Have #1: Sunglasses Just because you aren't vacay-ing on a yacht or an island doesn't mean you won't be squinting in the sun. Pack a pair or two of serious shades; we recommend something lightweight and with clean lines-like an aviator or a classic square frame. Must-Have #2: Gloves Obviously you'll have your waterproof pair for the trails, but don't forget that your little digits will be cold off the slopes too. We recommend two things: grab gloves that extend beyond the wrist-try a mid-arm length for warmth-and have fun with a print or color. We love a pop of color, especially an electric winter tone like fuchsia or teal. Stripes, polka dots, or chevrons are sweet too. Must-Have #3: Beanies Assume your windblown hair will need a little taming and pack a beanie or two. We love knit beanies that have some body and bagginess throughout; they keep your ears and hairline warm, and they hang in a cool way. You can't go wrong with neutrals, but this is also a great opportunity to rock a bright color or metallic knit for fun. Must-Have #4: Slippers Since snow sports are exhilarating, but exhausting, you will undoubtedly want some downtime in your cabin to read by the fire or play a mean game of cards with your friends. Pack a pair of warm, sweet slippers that will keep your feet toasty, complete your outfit, and ensure you have a wonderful weekend in the snow!
