What should I wear on a blind date? I need the perfect outfit that's casual, but

A blind date is an unquestionably nerve-wracking occasion (even if it ends up being totally thrilling). But though you may feel flustered on the inside, at least your outfit can seem calm, cool, and collected. We believe in the notion that a guy's favorite look on a girl is simply denim or leather and a t-shirt, so we suggest wearing a stylish version of that. Think outside the box here; for example, we love a cool, white, cap-sleeve t-shirt-maybe something semi-sheer, or with leather sleeves or studs-tucked into a high-waisted denim pencil skirt in a dark or medium wash. A shorter denim skirt would work as well, especially paired with an oversized men's button-up with the sleeves rolled and collar popped. We also like the idea of a pleated leather skirt or slim leather version with a sleeveless white blouse; it's a sweet and still approachable version of this classic Americana look. If you're a five-pocket girl at heart, consider swapping your tried-and-true jeans for a black leather pair that fits like a glove. Try something classic, skinny, or a biker-influenced style, or you can go faux-just save the less body-con options for another night. When it comes to your shoes, we think it's worth going for a pointy-toe stiletto of some sort. Try a bright color, embellished heels, or even a pair with embroidered detailing for some unexpected flash. Finish your look with statement jewelry, whether that's a tassel, collar, or bib necklacebib necklace, or a stunning pair of earrings. The point is to add a personal detail that conveys your character and confidence!
