Under $150
As you, dear readers, no doubt spent the weekend shopping for other people-or at least thinking about gifts to get and that's virtuous enough-we think you deserve a reward. We know some of you have a hard time spoiling yourselves (that guilt gene must have skipped us), so we sought out some festive treats that will allow even the strictest consciences to indulge as nothing is over $150.

Today's two looks were inspired by Alexander McQueen's Fall 07 collection, which featured loads of trends that translate well into holiday party attire. For the first ensemble, we took a cue from the grecian folds on the green dress and found a simple, single shoulder, gold dress. Then we added a few gorgeous pieces of malachite-colored jewelry, neutral snakeskin pump, and a pale nude gloss (the exact shade that was worn on the runway).

McQueen also used a fair amount of sparkle in this collection, primarily via gold, silver, and copper embellishments. He also included some noir shine, like the sequined bodice on the above, midnight-colored maxi dress. We found a black, backless, sequined dress at Tophop that seemed to be channeling McQueen, as well as a sleek pair of heels and a vintage-inspired star cuff. While obviously there's no room on this outfit for the metallic studded belt, we couldn't resist showing it as well. Finally, the black chapeau is a nod to McQueen's fondness for hats and his beloved friend Isabella Blow.

1. Delia's Marilyn Dress ($44.50)
The uncomplicated metallic knit dress comes with a removable tie belt (not available in stores, it's exclusive to the catalog and web store).

2. Banana Republic Inlaid Square Bracelet ($34)
BR's green resin bracelet is one of our new favorite pieces. It has a fantastic Art Deco vibe and is an incredibly rich shade of green.

3. Banana Republic Oval Ring ($48)
Again, the jewelry guys at Banana knock it out of the park with this green onyx ring in a gold vermeil setting.

4. M.A.C. McQueen Lipglass ($14)
This lip color was created especially for the McQueen Fall 07 runway, as a pale counterpoint to the exaggerated Liz Taylor/Cleopatra gorgeous eye makeup. The shade is called White Magic and it is a limited edition product, so grab it while you can.

5. Max Studio Troy Heels ($142.95)
The four-inch heel and slightly rounded toe of these snakeskin-style pumps are very versatile.

6. Topshop All Over Sequin Dress ($150)
The elbow-length sleeves, boat neck collar, and knee-length hem look quite prim, but the black sequins and backless design are quite feisty.

7. Steve Madden Becki Pumps ($99.95)
While they come in many colors, the black/gold patent heels with woven details seemed most fitting.

8. Urban Outfitter Bird On The Wire Hat ($28)
In a wonderful move, Urban is currently stocking some amazing vintage-style cocktail hats, each one cuter than the last. Our favorite, for sure, is this black one which is festooned with feathers.

9. Kenneth Jay Lane Star Cuff ($115, also available in gold )
As stars are on the upswing (look for them this spring), we couldn't help including this enameled black cuff. It also perfectly echoes the model's hair adornment!

10. BCBG Leather Belt ($128)
If sequins aren't your think, swap the above dress for a plain black one and cinch on a gold-and-silver studded belt, like this one. It will make a boring frock fun, we promise.
