Boots are a given for fall and winter. Pair them with jeans or a long dress and a warm coat, and it’s the ultimate outfit staple when temperatures drop. But at the Diane von Furstenberg runway show, the brand is making a case for tall boots next spring. Paired with over half the looks in the show, the boots hit below the knee, they lace all the way up, and they have an open toe (which makes them the perfect style for spring).

In the show, they’re styled with everything from high-waisted denim to fringed skirts to long printed dresses, and we have a feeling we’ll be seeing them styled that way again soon IRL. With a wide range of shades from red to forest green to camel with pink laces, we’re pegging the dusty blue version as the ones every It girl will be wearing in six months.

Under the direction of Jonathan Saunders, the DVF collection is confident and wearable. Reminiscent of the ’70s (a cornerstone of the brand), there are none of the signature wrap dresses on the runway, but other references to the era evoke its core. Strong prints and colors are central to the collection, and we have a feeling it will translate easily for anyone who wants to wear it.
