See Bella Hadid Walk the DKNY Show for the First Time Ever
Bella Hadid is definitely a strong force to be reckoned with. Walking in and opening the DKNY show for the first time in her career, she led the pack in a plunging hooded mini dress and thigh-high sneaker boots that I am convinced only she could pull off. Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne crafted DKNY's S/S 17 show with cool girls everywhere in mind, and the location, outdoors at the Highline in New York City, set the tone for the new generation of streetwear we were about to see.
The collection was definitely a lot to digest. What are we supposed to start wearing, and how? Between the tucked-in windbreakers, mesh bike shorts, oversize fanny packs, and hooded sweatshirts with threads dripping down to the floor, I think this might be a collection that will take some getting used to, in a good way. However, as soon as all of the It girls who walked in the show (Taylor Hill, Chanel Iman, and Jasmine Tookes) start taking these pieces to the streets, there will be an appreciation for this updated athleisure trend like we have never seen before, and that is something we cannot wait for.
Scroll down to see Bella open the show, some behind-the-scenes shots, and every look from the runway show.
