Q&A with Gilt Fuse stylist, Linsday:

What┬'s the most important thing to consider when buying clothes online?
Shop Gilt! You have the opportunity to find unique things that aren┬'t always available in stores. It gives you access to amazing designers ┬- whether you┬'re hunting for Faryl Robin heels or you didn┬'t make it to the last Sass & Bide sample sale. We┬'ve got it.

Tell us about the moment when you knew that you were a fashion person.
I refused to wear sneakers as a child. My mother tells me I would put my ruffle dresses on, strap on my patent leather mary-janes, and go play in the dirt. It was fate, what can I say?

What was your first big fashion purchase?
When I was 16 I bought two huge Tahitian pearl necklaces, one green and one pale pink, sigh. They were for a high school awards show I was hosting.

Name three wardrobe essentials for women.
A black pencil skirt, shrunken leather jacket and big jewels. Done and done.

How do you incorporate seasonal trends into your style?
Never go all in. Buy things that you are inspired by and pair them with things that you own and love. Stick by these rules and you┬'ll sparkle. In a good way.

How do you keep yourself updated everyday?
You have to put the cherry on top of your outfit. Maybe you┬'re in a white shirt and jeans, then you add a great fur vest or that huge diamond bangle (or four).

What inspires you?
New York City, baby! I feel inspired by the way people rock a look. ANY look. The same article of clothing can seem completely different when worn one way or another. The way this city transforms with the seasons can be mesmerizing and I can people watch for days.
