Cindy Crawford Is Developing a Show About the '80s Modeling Wars

Carson Olivares

It seems like everything Cindy Crawford touches turns to gold, and we have a feeling her next project will be no exception. According to Variety, the legendary supermodel is reportedly teaming up with NBC to develop a drama based on the modeling world in the 1980s.

The series, tentatively titled Icon, will be written by Robin Bissell, the executive producer of The Hunger Games, and Crawford herself will take the role of producer, making this her television debut.

The plot will revolve around the model wars between Elite Model Management and Ford Modeling Agency in the ’80s. And though entirely fictionalized, it will draw from the supermodel’s own experiences from a time when she was at the top of her game.

So while we can’t promise Naomi Campbell, Brooke Shields, or Christy Turlington will be making guest appearances anytime soon, we can say that we’re already prepping a viewing at our next weekly girls’ night.
