Only "Ugly"-Shoe Lovers Will Be on Board With This Trend

In case you weren’t totally buying into the Crocs craze the first time Christopher Kane showed them on the runway, rest assured it wasn’t a onetime thing. In fact, at yesterday’s London Fashion Week show, the designer once again welcomed back the practical, controversial, and “ugly” shoes—this time with a fuzzy lining.

The brown, mink-trimmed Crocs were styled within Kane’s colorful and print-packed collection, paired with floral minidresses and spaceship-emblazoned maxis. But they weren’t the only eyebrow-raising pairs in the F/W 17 collection. Kane also debuted heeled sandals with foam, as well. “When you go to archive, you get foam put in the shoes to preserve them,” the designer told Footwear News of the styles that are intended to be worn out and not packed away.

No matter which style delights—or disgusts—you most, both are sure to find fans among the fashion elite in just a few short months. And we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
