These Chanel Couture Looks Are Destined for the Red Carpet

There wasn't a dull moment at yesterday's Chanel Fall 16 couture show. For starters, the front row was as star-studded as you'd expect, with everyone from Jessica Chastain to Will Smith holding court at the show. The venue was also notable: According to Vogue, Karl Lagerfeld sent his entire couture staff to the Grand Palais, where he set up their dummies, sewing machines, and other materials to re-create his Rue Cambon atelier. The result is an inside peek at the rarified world of couture—including, of course, the spectacular gowns that will no doubt pop up on the red carpet soon.
