Cara Delevingne is a busy lady lately. Not only did a teaser clip just come out of her acting debut in a forthcoming mini-series, as well as a starring role in Burberry's Fall/Winter 2014 campaign, but now: the model has signed on to design a capsule collection for DKNY!
According to Women's Wear Daily, Delevingne's line for the brand--appropriately dubbed Cara Delevingne for DKNY--will hit stores in November. It will range from an approachable $70 for a Delevingne-approved beanie hat up to $795 for a leather moto jacket. And it wouldn't be a true Delevingne project without a modern social element: the model is using Instagram to recruit two models to star in the campaign for the line.
She's asking her more than 5.5 million Instagram followers to upload photos of themselves with two hashtags, #CaraWantsYou and #Cara4DKNY, by Monday, June 16, for a chance to star alongside her in the shoot. And it's working: so far, more than 30,000 people have responded to the request. Or, in her own words, "I'm CASTING for a few lucky fans to come to New York City and model my new #DKNY collection in a special photo shoot with me. To enter, just post a pic of yourself looking fresh to your Instagram and tag #CaraD4DKNY and #CaraWantsYou between now and 16 June.
Delevingne isn't the first fashion face to take to social media to try to cast a campaign; Marc Jacobs did the same in April to cast his newest campaign. Head to Instagram for your shot at becoming a DKNY model with Cara Delevingne!
