Theory Event at Saks Fifth Avenue
Before the hurricane arrived in New York last week, a different kind of storm hit the Theory section of Saks Fifth Avenue. Unlike Irene, this was a very pleasurable whirlwind, full of fashion-seeking shoppers who came by for wine and a wonderful selection of Theorys new fall clothes. The reason for our festivities was simple: it was time to toast Olivier Theyskens first collection as Theorys Artistic Director, as the results are truly noteworthy! There are crazy-cute bell-bottoms in crushed velvet and corduroy, lots of dropped waist, modern-mod dresses in leather or silk/velvet combos, yummy chunky knits and angora sweaters"in short: all of the things a well-dressed woman wants for fall! Shoppers even received a t-shirt designed by Theyskens and Dana Deer, which is still available exclusively at Saks, as a free gift with purchase. But tell us, what is your favorite piece from the collection and how are you planning on wearing it?
