If you havent heard of the brand The 2 Bandits, were delighted to be the ones to introduce you today. The lovely line features a range of jewelry and accessories imbued with a rustic, Southwestern charm"think: antique choker necklaces, tribal-inspired bangles, and turquoise earrings. We recently got a look at the lines S/S 13 lookbook, which is not only filled with jewelry must-haves galore, but is packed with great imagery too. We asked designer Tamar Wider to reveal the inspiration behind the gorgeous shoot, so read on for her response, and don't miss some of our favorite photos from the lookbook below.
This shoot was extremely special to me. To bring my dream team crew to the river was amazing. The inspiration was my life in Northern California. I wanted the model, Taylor Warren, to do what I do when I'm up there. She started her day by hanging out in a redwood forest, went to my friend's ranch to say hi to the horses and even met a kitten (Warren is kitten-OBSESSED), then went floating in the beautiful Russian River. I wanted the jewelry to match this theme so I started by introducing a new stone color, Baltic amber, to the collection. I find that amber is always used in vintage jewelry but never in modern. I always like to take stones, and vintage ideas in general, and give them a modern twist."Tamar Wider, Designer
