ASSISTANT TO CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Who What Wear is seeking a full-time assistant to Creative Director, Katherine Power. The ideal candidate must be an efficient self-starter with excellent taste, an eye for style, and be willing to wear many hats. This person should have a strong passion for and deep understanding of the fashion industry. He/she should be an administrative pro with excellent communication skills (phone and written). This candidate should be able to figure things out on his or her own quickly and with little direction. This is an entry-level position with tremendous room for growth.

Job Duties:

-Maintain CD’s schedule, facilitate all appointments, travel and reservations

-Handle CD’s phone line and messages

-Handle CD’s expenses and charge log

-Handle personal errands for CD

-Manage the Shop The Closet section on WhoWhatWear.com, including: generating affiliate links, uploading new product for STC monthly story

-Request, pull, and return fashion product for upcoming stories

-Collect credit information (style, price, availability) for fashion products requested by CD

-Coordinate WWW photo shoots, including securing location permits, booking hair and makeup teams and liaising with agents and celebrity publicists

Skills and Qualifications:

-Must be familiar with Who What Wear’s voice and style

-Strong knowledge of the fashion industry (designers, stylists, brands, collaborations, tastemakers)

-Must be extremely resourceful with a can-do attitude that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment

-Must currently live in the Los Angeles area

-Must have the ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-direction

-Basic html skills a plus

-Fashion magazine experience preferred
