From ankle boots and pumps to blazers and midi dresses, we've clicked "add to cart" more times than we can possibly count this year—and we know we're not alone. On Black Friday, mobile users alone spent a whopping $1.2 billion buying products, which shattered previous records. Now we have some insight into exactly what everyone was clamoring to purchase in 2016.

According to new data from Lyst, the number one trend of the year was—drumroll, please—Puma sneakers. To come up with its findings, Lyst took into account searches, sales, and browsing data from its site, which aggregates more than 12,000 online retailers. The results showed that Puma saw a 183% increase in popularity this year. Specifically, the most-viewed Puma sneakers on Lyst were the Rihanna x Puma sneakers, which are sadly sold out in most sizes.

Curious about the other biggest trends of the year? Slides like the Gucci Princetown Loafers and cult handbags like the J.W. Anderson Pierce Bag took the number two and number three spots, respectively. How many of these trends do you own?
