Beyoncé's Salt-N-Pepa Costume Is Halloween's Best Throwback

Beyoncé channeled her inner Salt-N-Pepa for Halloween by re-creating the fashion from the rap trio's "Push It" video. The "Formation" singer not only nailed the look, she also enlisted the help of her family to complete the '80s ensemble. Her adorable 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and her mom, Tina Lawson, pulled off the throwback fashion, complete with spandex, gold chains, and even a fanny pack.

Queen Bey shared the trio's look with a video montage on Instagram, which received props straight from Salt-N-Pepa themselves. "Okay, we have to give it up to @beyonce for #Representing us! We #Salute you for this girl," read the caption. Beyoncé and Blue Ivy were so committed to their costumes that the two showed off spot-on replicas of the jackets worn by the rappers in the 1986 video, complete with the phrases "let it be music" and "idol maker" emblazoned on the front. It looks like the Carter ladies have a thing for the '80s, because just last year the family dressed up as characters from the 1988 movie Coming to America. Perhaps they'll take it way back to the '70s next year?
