You may recall that back in December, we illustrated the best types of jewelry to wear in the winter. Now that the weather is warming up, there’s a whole new set of things to consider when choosing your baubles, the main factor being the heat and humidity (wearing jewelry that sticks to your skin is no one’s idea of fun). But not to fret—that doesn’t mean you have to step out sans glitz when it’s hot out. We recommend five types of jewelry for the warmer months, and one trendsetter in particular has been wearing all of them as of late: former blogger and current The You Way fashion director Pernille Teisbaek.

It’s time to step away from the boots and adorn the ankles! A thin chain above the foot is on-trend and so light that you won’t even feel it.
While we called for dainty studs in the winter months (to avoid snagging your sweaters and scarves), now is the time to bust out the oversize dangly earrings, as there's nothing standing in their way.
As opposed to an assortment of dainty rings, stick to one bold ring (or one on each hand). You’ll thank us when the humidity leads to finger swelling.
While it looks cool, an arm full of chunky bracelets will only worsen a sticky skin situation. Instead, opt for thin, delicate bracelets that aren’t too tight.
If you’re going to wear a choker, avoid the thick ribbon styles of the past fall and winter. Try a thin leather or metal style instead, or wear a pendant necklace with a delicate chain à la Teisbaek.
