We're Totally Intrigued by the Denim Piece This Designer Calls "Magic"
Bella Freud has been a staple of cool British girls’ closets for some time now—Alexa Chung, Pandora Sykes, and Suki Waterhouse are fans, for instance. But having just teamed with one of the most popular denim labels, J Brand, there’s a new set of must-haves worth getting your hands on. And quickly. Where to start? How about the piece the designer herself calls “magic?”
In an interview with Vogue, Freud called out the collaboration’s denim jumpsuit as a standout piece. “It’s got a sort of magic about it,” she told the publication. “It was a big thing in the ’70s.” However, the one-piece wonder is not the only style that could have a resurgence. According to the J Brand site—where you can preorder the collection as of today—there’s another silhouette that might give your skinny jeans a run for their money.
“Fashion-forward women far and wide are embracing straight-leg jeans,” reads the description of the J.Brand x Bella Freud Jane high-rise pairs. After all, the silhouette is a bit more relaxed, has a retro vibe, and probably requires a bit less shimmying to get into.
