Hollywood heads are always seeking improvement, so it's no surprise to see they've done a little renovating on the latest runway beauty trends. While simple center parts were showcased at places like Fendi (with natural, undone hair), Versace (with curled ends, very late 60's sex kitten), and Michael Kors (with super straight, blunt ends), we've noticed that this look has been upgraded for the red carpet. The new development is subtle but sweet, just pin back a few face-framing pieces to get this semi half-up/half-down 'do.
Mary Kate Olsen is a long time devotee of this hardworking hippie style ("hardworking" because it's a little practiced for the true, natural hippie spirit), but she was most recently seen with her hair this way in late summer when promoting the new season of Weeds. While Olsen chose to wear her hair this way during the day, the looks lends itself to nighttime events as well. Heidi Klum and Kerry Washington wore variations of to the Accessories Council's annual ACE Awards last week. Klum chose to twist the pulled back parts of her hair while Washington simply pinned her already wavy locks. We also dig the California bohemian way Rachel Zoe wore her hair for a Calvin Klein dinner during New York's Fashion Week.
