Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow ($36) in Ebloui
This new product from the beauty greats at Chanel is truly worth tracking down. The shadow comes in an array of stunning colors and has an incredibly soft texture, so it blends like a dream. Peter Philips, the Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, suggests forgoing a brush and simply using your fingers to apply the shadow, an excellent idea indeed. However, if your digits freak you out, don't fuss because Chanel includes a tiny brush in the box too.
Cover Girl Queen Collection Eye Shadow ($3) in Sun City
If you're looking for the most gorgeous, shimmering gold shadow, you simply must check out this stunning shade from Cover Girl. Brilliantly burnished, this eye shadow looks lovely on its own or mixed with deeper bronze tones.
Guerlain Terracotta Loose Powder Kohl Liner ($36) in 02 Brun
Every summer, the Guerlain team comes up with some new variation on kohl eyeliner that we simply must buy and this year we're obsessed with their Loose Powder Kohl Liner. Available in three shades, our favorite is the rich bronzed brown, which is a bit easier to wear than traditional black.
Milani Cosmetics Color Streaks ($7, select CVS stores)
We love any product that will change our hair color a bit without damaging it, so we're totally enthused by this hair highlighter by Milani. The brush-on formula is applied via a mascara wand--clever, no?--and provides just the right amount of golden shimmer to your hair. We'll be wearing this on our next GNO...
China Glaze Crackle Glaze Nail Lacquer ($7) in Tarnished Gold
Everyone knows about China Glaze's amazing crackle nail polishes, but did you know that the brand also makes them in metallic hues too? There are six new-for-summer lacquers, including the gorgeous gold shown above, which we'd wear over a khaki green polish, like NARS' Nail Polish ($17) in Desperado or Chanel's Le Vernis Nail Color ($25) in Peridot.
Revlon Nail Enamel ($5) in Copper Penny
The warmer, copper polish shown above is one of Revlon's best new hues and definitely the perfect pick to go with your (hopefully faux) summer tan. It's an excellent pick for a party, especially if you're planning on wearing a brightly colored disco dress!
Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick ($30) in #110 Bronze
With the exception of some experimentation in middle school, generally we don't wear lipstick that can be categorized as "brown," but this bronze has totally changed our minds. It has lovely wine undertones, which makes it quite flattering, and we'd wear it lightly blotted, so it's almost like a lip stain.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($19) in Sin
Technically, this is a primer for your lids, to be applied before putting on shadow, but we think it looks gorgeous just on its own. Use it as a primer, shadow, or even a highlighter, this slightly shimmering product is another out-of-the-ball-park hit from Urban Decay.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow ($20) in Faux Gold
The moment we pulled this beautifully swirled shadow out of its box, the office seemed to let out a collective coo. This collective response makes sense, as this baked mineral shadow has an assortment of gorgeous shades in it, including coral, gold, lime, and bronze. The shadow builds beautifully, making it easy to create the perfect terracotta eye!
Revlon Satin Luxurious Color Eyeshadow ($5) in Shimmering Sienna
While we love a golden shadow, we also love something a little darker and more mysterious, like this standout shade from Revlon. It has just a hint of sheen to it and the dark bronze color is so chic it will make you feel like a Mediterranean knockout, even if you're nothing of the sort.
NARS Laguna Body Illuminator ($45)
If you're a fan of NARS' award-winning face illuminators, the brand's beloved Body Glow, or simply want to look like a Tahitian goddess, you simply must check out this limited-edition Laguna Body Illuminator. It gives your skin the most heavenly bronzed hue, perfect for those days when you want your skin to really glow. Best of all, though it's easy to wash off, it won't transfer onto your clothes--yet another reason why this is product is a must-buy!
Bonne Bell Eye Shadow Stick ($3.50) in Bronze Shimmer
Our final selection is also a thrifty thrill: Bonne Bell's Eye Shadow Stick. It has a delightfully soft formula that easily glides over your lids--a rare feat for most pencil shadows--plus the color is simply spot-on. Better snap one up now before your WhoWhatWear.com editors buy them all...!
