After announcing in April that she would join Banana Republic as the new creative director, former head of J.Crew women's wear design Marissa Webb has finally given the fashion world what it's been craving: a peek into her designs for the brand.
As expect, Webb appears to be aiming to take the company's aesthetic—which has long been known more for office-ready contemporary wear than street-appropriate cool-girl styles—in a much more modern direction. She posted the look above to her Instagram, captioning it, "Graphic Saturday. #sneakpeek w/ @bananarepublic of things to come #ootd #xomarissa."
Webb stays true to her long-storied love for oversized coats of all kinds, pairing a tweed iteration with a pair of cropped skinnies and blue suede heels. The exclamation point: a graphic tote emblazoned with what appears to be the "BR" logo.
