Would You Ever Wear a Jumpsuit to Your Wedding? This Bride Nailed It

Adrianna Barrionuevo

When we took a look at her bridesmaids' unique outfits, we knew Audrey Gelman wasn't the traditional bride. The political public relations maven recently wed in Detroit, and Vogue got all the fashionable details from her wedding gown to her statement-making custom jumpsuit.

The petite bride donned a romantic lace Monique Lhuillier dress to walk down the aisle. "I wanted something timeless and soft for the ceremony," she tells the magazine. "To be honest, I loved my dress because it made me feel tall, and I’m 5-foot-1." She completed her look with a Jennifer Behr crown inspired by, "Liv Tyler’s elf princess character in Lord of the Rings."

Once the party got started and dancing ensued, Audrey changed into a gorgeous silk jumpsuit. Custom made by designer Katie Ermilio, it was a statement-making one-piece most brides wouldn't dream of wearing on their big day—but Audrey nailed it. "I loved the idea of a structured white silk jumpsuit with an oversize, obi-like belt," she explains. Audrey's fashion choice goes to show that personal style can go beyond off-duty outfits, and we're all for a bridal fashion moment.
