How Apple Aims to Make Mobile Shopping Way Easier

Erin Fitzpatrick

If you do most of your shopping on your phone and haven't set foot in a brick-and-mortar store in ages, this news is for you. Apple has announced that it will add a new shopping category to the App Store, reports Fortune. The new vertical will organize all of the store's e-commerce apps neatly into one place, making it easier for users to get their virtual credit card swipes on.

The new category will debut on November 5—just in time for the onslaught on holiday shoppers. As Fortune reports, the news makes sense: "The majority of global e-commerce traffic is increasingly coming from smartphones and tablets instead of from personal computers," says the website. Holiday shopping has officially never been easier.
