As one of the most well-known and important fashion editors in the world, it's no surprise it's part of Anna Wintour's official duties to dress well. But what is surprising is just how much she gets paid to always step out in her best clothes.
According to a recent breakdown done by The New York Times, Wintour receives a whopping $200,000-per-year allowance from Vogue solely devoted to her wardrobe. While the editor-in-chief's clothing allowance has long been rumored to be astronomical, coming from a source as reputable as The New York Times, the official number is pretty mind-blowing.
Considering that creative directors and other high-ranking employees at Condé Nast make anywhere from $175,000 to $200,000, it's likely that Wintour is making nearly half a million dollars a year in salary and clothes. Dream job? We think so.
