Anna Wintour Reveals the Trend She Wants to Banish
Anna Wintour has been on a rare press tour lately to promote the upcoming documentary The First Monday in May, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the famous Met Gala. Appearing on the Today show, Wintour chatted about everything from Taylor Swift’s new cover to what it was like having a film crew follow her around for the flick.
Our favorite part of the interview, however, was when host Savannah Guthrie asked rapid-fire questions in the style of Vogue’s 73 Questions series. “What is the one fashion trend you would like to banish forever?” she asked. Wintour’s response? “I don’t really love nylon.” When if asked culottes are ever a good idea, Wintour remarked, “If you’re tall and thin like Karlie Kloss, yes.” So there you have it, folks: Nylon is out, but culottes can work.
