Who What Wear readers know we have a thing for French-girl style. We regularly follow the chicest Parisian brands, tap our favorite French influencers for advice, and break down the best ways to copy that je ne sais quoi. So naturally, we're all ears when an up-and-coming, impeccably chic French actress offers us pointers.

In an interview with Vogue, Paris-born actress (and the new face of Roger Vivier) Ana Girardot explained what French-girl style means to her. "It's sophisticated but with a crazy twist," she told the magazine. "For example, we love to wear extravagant evening outfits even though we dress low-key during the day. The shoes and bag always become the center of attention."

Girardot also elaborated on her own personal style. "I tend to be minimalist and classic, but very often with a whimsical twist," she told the magazine. "I like to add fantasy to a very classic Parisian look." Now that she has a major fashion campaign under her belt, we're expecting to see plenty more of Girardot in the future.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
