Allison Williams Reveals Her Hilarious Engagement Story

Erin Fitzpatrick

When you think of romantic, proposal-worthy locales, beaches and mountaintops might come to mind. But how about a couch at a friend's house? Turns out that's where Allison Williams's now husband, Ricky Van Veen, proposed—and they have The Bachelor to thank for originally bringing them together.

As The Cut pointed out, Williams was a guest on last night's episode of Bachelor Live, where she confessed her engagement story. "I would not be married to my husband if it weren't for this show," she told host Chris Harrison. "We went to a weekly viewing party every week, and it was like a big group date, but with both genders equally distributed. … It was how we met up. So where the viewing party is is at my friend Lee Eisenberg's house, and he has a couch where we always watch the show. And that's where Ricky proposed to me, was on Lee Eisenberg's couch."
