This Brand Is Challenging Gender Norms in the Best Way

Take a cursory glance at AG's new Spring 16 campaign, and words like "cool" and "laid-back" might pop into your head. But pay closer attention and you might notice that the campaign has a very simple yet statement-making twist: Daria Werbowy is modeling both men's and women's clothes, reinforcing the fashion industry's genderless movement

Refinery29 spoke to Johnathan Crocker, AG's director of global communications, about the decision: "We saw the recent trend of some designer brands shooting men in womenswear and thought doing just the opposite could/would be interesting and noteworthy," he told Refinery29. "We didn’t see any other brands doing it, so we thought the timing was right. We truly [believed] no one could do it better than Daria."
