The Unretouched Lingerie Campaign Everyone's Talking About

Ever since American Eagle Outfitters’ Aerie line launched its initiative promising unretouched ad campaigns, the lingerie brand has kept its word. In its latest body-empowering video, a handful of women of all sizes share their “spark” as they confidently pose for the camera in the latest Sunnie collection. “All of these women proudly bared their real selves to share their spark with women everywhere,” says the video’s narrator.

Body-positive industry model Barbie Ferreira, who’s known for refusing to retouch her personal Instagram photos, and Iskra Lawrence star in the campaign alongside bloggers and real Aerie shoppers. The anti-Photoshop movement is also meant to encourage women to spread positivity on social media with the hashtag #AerieReal. The Sunnie collection celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary and also features a wider range of sizes than ever before. Lawrence sums it up perfectly when she shares, “What spark do I want to share? Together, we can learn to love our real selves and change the world.”
