In Other News, I'm Super Excited to Try These Simple, Yet Cool Outfit Ideas
At heart, I’m a simple girl. I’ll always love jeans and a t-shirt, classic lines and minimal tailoring. However, I’ve found that without a formula to follow, it’s easier to overcomplicate simple dressing than one might think. And of course, while I might be drawn to a more laid-back aesthetic, that doesn’t mean I want my outfits to be boring, either.
Fortunately, I’ve had no shortage of outfit inspiration as of late. Many of my favorite creators have been playing with color, proportions and accent pieces as a way to elevate an outfit erring on the simpler side, and I’m not lying when I say I’m chomping at the bit to try some of their pairings. Below, I’ve rounded up 5 simple yet cool outfits that have gotten me the most excited for spring dressing. So, hop to it! I promise, you won't be sorry.
I live in L.A. and work from home, hence I’m drawn to outfits that have a bit of a “rolled-out-of-bed, but still cool” look. The chunky knit with the featherweight shorts is a nice transitional pairing for spring, too.
It’s all about the accessories. Silver flats and a chunky belt give a classic LBD instant cool.
Color blocking is one of the easiest ways to put together an interesting yet low maintenance outfit. Don't be afraid to mix and match different tones, either!
This 80’s inspired look proves that you don’t need much more than a statement blazer to make a minimalist outfit stand out.
What can I say? Track pants paired with ballet flats and a trench coat is the epitome of effortless chic.
